Fastcase now available!
Fastcase is now live. On September 1, 2005 The Iowa State Bar Association began providing Fastcase an online legal research to all Iowa Bar Association members free! As of September 14, 2005 over 850 members had signed on to test drive the new service. If you are one of those members we would love to hear what you think. Please take a moment to provide us with your initial comments.If you have not accessed this service we encourage you to do so. 2005 ISBA Fall Traveling & Ethics Seminars - Coming To A City Near You
We have revamped the traditional Traveling Seminar schedule to include more sites and to focus on the New Rules of Professional Conduct and how these rules will directly affect your practice. There will be six full day seminars covering 3 hours of Ethics in the morning with 3 hours of Family Law, Commercial & Bankruptcy and Real Estate topics in the afternoon. Disaster Relief Update
ISBA Public Service Project By Brett Toresdahl, Executive DirectorIOWA LAWYERS FOR DISASTER RELIEF Iowa lawyers have stepped forward to provide legal assistance to individuals affected by hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast Region. The group is called “Iowa Lawyers for Disaster Relief” and is organized to provide free legal assistance to evacuees who have arrived in Iowa. Legal service providers and bar associations have come together to create a system which will be able to provide the legal support needed to individuals who have experienced this horrific tragedy and are now having to put their lives back together.
